Ms. Karen is the 3-Day Assistant Teacher in the Garden Room. She is a retired teacher with over 20 years of experience in special education, having worked with students across early childhood and high school, as well as in resource and self-contained classrooms. Ms. Karen has also served as a department chair, transition specialist, RTI instructor, and in-home autism respite worker, bringing a wealth of knowledge and compassion to her work with children!

She loves being at HopeMark, watching the kids grow, and encouraging their curiosity—she says they always have the best questions! Ms. Karen lives in Illinois and enjoys spending her time at her lake house or spending time with her great niece and nephew, or traveling!
